Some free time has been incorporated into the programme for discussions, catching-up on work or exploring the local area, as you wish.

 

If you are fond of nature, then a 10 minute walk from the hotel is Brockhole. The Lake District Visitor's Centre, it has many activities from pleasant walks and orienteering to treetop treks and bike hire. It has a cafe, if you just fancy having a short walk and a break.

From Low Wood Bay Resort it is approximately a 25-30 minute walk to Ambleside where you can see Stock Ghyll Force, a 70 metre waterfall. If you prefer a little culture there is the independently run Armitt Museum with a Beatrix Potter exhibition and Zeffirelli's cinema and jazz bar. There are plenty of places to get a drink or something to eat here.

There is a boat cruise nearby, if you would like to try travelling by lake.

The hotel have a Watersports Centre if you have the time and energy!​
